Air travel has become more and more popular since the early 1980′s, where as many people had never voyaged further than Skegness or Margate, it was now possible with the advances in air passenger travel to experience far away destinations for a reasonable price. Air travel became part of peoples holidays and was not considered boring. Over the years the air craft has become more comfortable for the passengers, with planes such as the Boeing 747 (Jumbo Jet) offering the ultimate in luxury and entertainment. On long haul flights the passengers can expect an unlimited amount of food and drink, as well as in flight entertainment in the way of films and programmes. Televisions are usually in built into the back of head rests on the planes meaning that everyone gets to easily see the entertainment channels. Of course the standard of seating and comfort whilst on board the plane is usually dependent on the amount of money which has been paid. 1st class and business class offer a more comfortable journey for the passenger with features such as reclining seats and extra leg room. Plus it is usual that there is a stewardess or steward who is designated specifically to look after passengers within this area, as there are fewer seats this usually means that there is no shortage of food and drink served to the paying customer.
